About Our School
About Our School
Locust Trace AgriScience Center offers students world-class agricultural education in Agricultural Engineering, Animal Science (including Agribusiness - Equine Studies, Food Science and Processing, and Pre-Veterinary Studies), Environmental Science and Natural Resources, and Plant Science. Our dedicated faculty and staff operate an 82-acre farm in conjunction with our students, complete with a vegetable and flower garden, orchard, greenhouse, aquaculture lab, food science lab, veterinary sciences labs, Equine Arena/Barn, livestock barn, pastures, and equine paddocks. We also house an independently operated veterinary clinic on campus.
Students who attend complete a career pathway recognized by the Kentucky Department of Education and experience guest speakers, experiential learning trips, and other Work-Based Learning opportunities, including cooperative learning placements and internships. Students also develop as leaders by participating in FFA, Jr. MANRRS, the Junior Conservation Board, and the Hispanic Honors Society.
Regardless of background, experience with agriculture, and ability, all students can grow into leaders who serve and advocate for the future of agriculture at Locust Trace!
