Locust Trace Chapter Sets Pace at Kentucky FFA Convention
The 2024 Kentucky FFA state convention drew nearly 3,000 FFA members, advisers, and guests to the Central Bank Center in early June. Among the highlights, a half-dozen students in the chapter at Locust Trace Agriscience Center earned the State FFA Degree, which is the highest recognition awarded by Kentucky FFA. It’s based on their experience with FFA, their Supervised Agricultural Experience Program, and involvement in school activities and community events. Congratulations to Dante Codispoti, Thomas Epps, Lillian Finney, Makenzie Menges, Colton Turlington, and Reine Watson!
In addition, Caroline Groth of Locust Trace (Lafayette’s Class of 2023) completed her term as state FFA president, and about 20 other members from Fayette County Public Schools earned competitive kudos.
